The programme was to upgrade the existing Data room and fit out of the clients Building in Cape Town. The project offers a major challenge in terms of programme. Having looked at various procurement options. It was proposed and is providing a Turn Key Consultancy service which included building services and structural engineering.

The programme required a proactive management approach in the procurement of suitable local vendors and suppliers. The delivery requirements also necessitated a holistic design approach to ensure adherence to the technical brief with cognisance being taken of the availability of equipment and lead-in times. The contract was signed in mid-October 2010 and the project is on track for completion in early/mid-December 2010.
This project also requires very close liaison with the Landlord’s Agents and local tenants. The impact of disruptive works remains a consideration throughout the project.
 
As a result of its proactive client-side approach, we were subsequently asked to assist in the compilation of a business case for the fit out of in the same building. The business case is currently awaiting corporate sign-off and, if approved, will be completed during 2011. The client preferred the Turn Key Consultancy solution for the fit out.
