Campus Strategy

It is the vision of Large Financial Institute Senior Management to create a new campus in Down Town, Johannesburg to foster a balanced working environment in a new and vibrant Egoli. The catalos to this vision was the creation of Large Financial Institute campus which is to become a new beginning for Large Financial Institute Group.

By introducing new workplace standards based on global best practice and a benchmark for the roll out of more efficient space standards across the Group portfolio enabled Large Financial Institute to reduce their property portfolio significantly, however increasing productivity and more efficient workplace environment.

A new concept was to be developed for the campus to facilitate ATW to ensure a 12,000 work station campus by 2014 and in turn reducing the requirements from 500,000.00 sqm to 240,000.00 sqm. The consolidation will reduce Large Financial Institute’s portfolio from 47 tired buildings to 3, newly renovated flag ship buildings at the core of the two new campuses.

The reorganisation of the Gauteng property portfolio enabled the Group to minimise the reinstatement and dilapidation obligations and invest in the most desirable options that will deliver a better workplace environment.

A clear portfolio strategy, enables the Group to secure locations for its operations and this opens up significant Asset Management opportunities, essentially creating assets where before there was just operational costs.
