Large Telecommunications Company will install electric vehicle charging stations at its campus in Centurion.
This forms part of Large Telecommunications Company’s sustainability programme, which includes a 3 megawatt solar farm on the company’s Centurion campus and future installation of energy monitoring systems to ensure best use of the resources.
The car charging points on its campus wer made available to staff, clients, and guests for free.
The Large Telecommunications Company is also speaking with “other big conglomerates” to see if they can roll out car charging points nationally.
The on-campus charging stations was be a proof-of-concept, and they will take what they learn there and apply it to future roll-outs. The client was looking at different sites around the country to install electric car chargers – to calculate the viability of fueling their large vehicular fleet.
